We are always looking for motivated people for the following profiles:

Working Student

In the field of software development, we are interested in students who are looking for a start in professional life and who want to program and/or test applications. In the field of technical documentation, we need people who have an affinity for technology and want to configure CCM systems and help customers use them.

We offer internships and jobs as part of your studies, support you with topics for a bachelor’s and master’s thesis and are interested in long-term collaboration.

Software Developer

People who want to strengthen our team should be enthusiastic about programming and developing software applications and have strong logical thinking and abstraction skills. In addition to script languages, we mainly use C/C++ and Java EE to develop solutions on Windows and Linux. Starting with various database systems through to application and web servers to rich and web clients, our solutions offer varied tasks and challenges.

Architect

The ability to design long-lasting architecture, define solution paths and guide developers are skills that we expect from our architects.

A software architect has many years of experience as a software developer and transfers requirements into solution design. They also design test strategies to ensure software quality. They look after methods and systems in the software development process.

The system architect is responsible for designing and implementing the IT infrastructure and system environments that are required for our work and solutions.

Consultant

Is the expert when it comes to customer problems, describes stakeholder requirements and develops solution concepts. Our consultants are familiar with our customers’ tasks and systems, have experience with project planning and managing, and the skills to document requirements with common IT standards (requirements engineering).

We prefer our PLM consultants to come from the field of development and/or production, and we prefer our CCMS consultants to come from the field of technical documentation.

They ensure successful implementation for our customers’ projects.

Our company philosophy –
10 reasons for our positive working environment

1

Education and training

You don’t have to be a pro. That’s why we offer role-specific training and further education through our KGU Academy. Practical instructions for self-study and a mentor help with efficient entry into our complex field of activity. Project-related experience reports and external training contribute to maximum expertise.

2

Exciting tasks in international companies

It is a privilege to be able to work for various international companies on varied projects. Mastering different challenges together and gaining experience are real enrichment for life. The imaginative creation of value-adding solutions is a real pleasure, and we stand together as a team.

3

Gain experience abroad

Our work in project/product development also creates opportunities to travel abroad and get to know people and cultures there. We have customers in around 20 different countries, plus partners in Europe, the USA and India. So, if you’re interested in looking beyond Germany’s borders, you’ve come to the right place.

4

Flat hierarchies and independent work

We have role-specific working groups (boards) that bear technical responsibility and in which everyone can contribute ideas and topics. Otherwise, we work together in project teams, where everyone responsibly contributes in their role. Flat hierarchies and short reporting channels form the basis for our colleagues to be able to fully grow in their role. All of your efforts are seen and valued.

5

Communicative, positive working environment

We really value a positive working environment. Whether it’s a summer party, Christmas party or toasting to the latest success: we not only work together – we also celebrate together. Management regularly informs the team about news, so that all employees are always up to date. And there is also room for personal exchanges at Friday breakfast. We are on first-name terms and appreciate a friendly atmosphere.

6

Flexible working hours model

As an innovative IT company in an industry that is constantly changing, we act dynamically and adaptably. With our flexible working hours model, we create a working environment in which we can balance private and professional life. If possible and reasonable, we also offer flexible working from home. And for employees who don’t live near our location, we also offer the option of working from home.

7

Work where others make holiday

Flensburg is an idyllic port city in northern Germany that is very popular with tourists. As a former warehouse and trading town, it offers many rustic courtyards with restaurants and cafés. With around 90,000 inhabitants, the city on the Baltic Sea is the third largest in Schleswig-Holstein. And it is here – where others spend their holidays – that we have our headquarters with two modern office buildings that offer plenty of peace and space to work.

8

Health and care

Healthcare is important to us. An ergonomic workplace, space for quiet and concentrated work, our own gym, company bike programme, relaxation room with library, lounger and massage seat, regular fruit days and a company doctor are just a few examples of how our health is important to us and how we do something about it.

9

Recognition

There’s barely been a year in our more than 20-year company history in which a bonus has not been paid. For us, working towards success together also means participating in it together. And even better performance is rewarded individually. Our appreciation for each individual is also shown at various events: whether it’s a birthday, wedding, anniversary, Easter or Christmas, every employee gets something special.

10

Become the tenth reason!

We do our best to make our work even better every day. We need more motivated and qualified colleagues to do this. We have now listed nine good reasons to work at KGU. Be the tenth reason to complement and advance the team. Do you enjoy working, do you have skills that suit us, are you a balanced and reliable person? Then apply now! We look forward to welcoming you.
